Fixing cannot play media issue in Powerpoint

One of the easier fixes is to start Powerpoint in safe mode. You do this by pressing CTRL while launching the application (launching from the start menu may not work, you have to press CTRL and double-click the shortcut, and it will ask you whether to start in SAFE mode). Now, your videos should play without an issue. HTH
